SO in tandem with the Journal I wrote a few days ago heeerreeeee:

Awesome Game I May Help Write for!HEY GUYS A BIT RANDOM, I KNOW, but this is something really cool I think you'll like!
So, with the recent vampire "revival" I was lead to the Kickstarter of Orbis Aerden- a vampire tabletop RPG in development very similar to Legacy of Kain, World of Darkness, and Call of Cthulhu, ect... It features different orders of vampires fighting and competing against each other and other aberrations in a victorian-esque land called Aerden, and is still in development.
Now, I know I'm the type to throw my money at this; but let me explain something that may make this deal come alive for you- by backing this project you help an independent game company finalize their game and get it off the ground-- and after a certain point you can actually help write the game along with them.
Like.
ACTUALLY WRITE.
WITH THEM.
How cool is THAT?
And you know what else is cool- I'm writing for them-- assuming the project gets funded. Currently the project has a kickstarter preview u

And with permission from the creators of Orbis Aerden: Reign of the Accursed I have FULL PERMISSION to discuss what I am going to write about.

I'm backing up to the EBON CERAPH level (at least at the present), which means that I will be collaborating in making a faction for the Faustahd Order. To think of it in terms those of you who haven't seen the kickstarter yet- I'm making a branch of a vampire family of Necromancer Vampires bent on coming back from the dust.

Now, for the juicy ideas I have. A Faustahd has to be created through Necromancy- they cannot simply be turned like any of the others... Unfortunately necromancy tends to have an unfair advantage and negative affects on those brought back to life- so the Society of Horrors (the vampire society) outlawed necromancy and more-or-less tried killing off the Faustahd.

But the Faustahd were smarter than that. Many of the Faustahd fled into the wilds out away from the strong influences of the society. Living cult-like lives and secretly gathering up undead minions to come back and seek revenge for their near extinction... The problem for them is that they, like the rest of the society, over estimated how dire their numbers were.

Many Faustahd went underground in the city; living lives of people who needed to keep odd hours to avoid the sun. Morticians, doctors, nurses. Rather than hide behind the veil, the Urban Faustahd relished and hid under the noses of the mortals they served, and the society they were trying to escape. Still connected heavily to their necromancy- they also collected new members from their new position. Old politicians, influential women, teachers... Anyone and anything that could help with furthering the survival of the Urban Faustahd society.

And no offense to their wilder kin; but they aren't exactly too pleased with the idea of the same events happening all over again- this time with their own kin. In a flurry the Urban Fausted came out to the society or horrors and, rather than ousting them- offered their services. For all intents and purposes the Faustahd can touch the dead where the other Orders cannot, make abominations just as their wild kin can, using street animals like rats, dogs and cats, to combat their wilder counterparts. Tensions are high, and the Faustahd know not what will happen to them after the civil war-- then again... Who said they were trying to end the Civil war?
